Robert Sherman Broadcast with the Prokofieffs

On the Friday before the Lincoln Center concert, Lina and Oleg Prokofieff, along with Lukas Foss, Byron Janis and HAI Executive Director Michael Spencer, joined New York radio personality Bob Sherman on his WQXR radio show, The Listening Room, to talk about Serge Prokofieff’s work and the 50th Anniversary Concert.

Lina, did such an outstanding performance, read in perfect English (for she had been born and raised in NYC nearly a century ago), that she was invited by the conductor Neem Jarvi to record the work months later with the Scottish National Symphony Orchestra. Years later Oleg and his son Gabriel jointly narrated a recording of the work; both are available on CD.
